Oyster Run Ride - 9-25-2011 |

We met at 8:30AM at Hometown Cafe in Sedro-Woolley for our 4th Annual group ride with BC5103 joining us. We had 12 members from 154 and Steve S from BC5103 joining us for breakfast and the ride. This year Lenny led them down Highway 9 to Lake McMurray, and crossed through Conway and La Conner. At La Conner we rode over the red bridge, around Similk Bay and caught SR20 just north of Deception Pass. We then passed Campbell Lake, Erie Lake, and Heart Lake coming into Anacortes via 32nd St. We then passed through the Gauntlet, parked, and joined the crowds along Commercial St. Despite the wind the Cossacks performed flawlessly for the crowds. The t-shirts and pins had a very cool design this year, a chopper riding out from under an eagle’s wing. Anacortes had a great turnout despite the weather looking to storm at any minute. |
